Welcome to
The Music Factory CIC

We are a community music project in Torbay that offers free, inclusive workshops to people of all ages and abilities, fostering creativity, skills development, and community engagement through music.

Our Story

In March 2025 the charity YES Brixham sadly closed its doors, meaning MusicAtTheEdge could no longer continue. In response to this, the MusicAtTheEdge team founded a new independent Community Interest Company “The Music Factory CIC”. The Music Factory aims to deliver a program of workshops, gigs, festivals, volunteering opportunities and community partnerships designed to meet the needs of our community and continue MusicAtTheEdge’s legacy.

The YES Brixham project, MusicAtTheEdge, has been a vital part of Brixham’s cultural community since 2007. Our free weekly music workshops, exciting live events and much-loved annual music festival created a safe and inclusive space where people of all ages and abilities were able to get together to learn, play and grow through music.

Who We Are

The Music Factory CIC has been founded by the core delivery team of MusicAtTheEdge who have a proven track record of delivering high-quality, inclusive music programs that empower individuals and strengthen our communities.

With years of experience in organising workshops, live performances, and educational initiatives, the team has successfully created opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to develop their musical skills, build confidence, and connect through the power of music
